back on the hill
Posted by Joni on Jan 23, 2008 in australia, exchange, revelstoke, sfu | 0 commentsWell, it’s been a long time since I updated–so I won’t try and catch up on everything! Suffice it to say that the last few weeks in Australia simply whizzed by, and were amazing in ways I can’t describe. From finishing classes to exploring new corners in Sydney to the Blue Mountains and up to Cairns, December was unforgettable. Coming home, too, was a welcome respite; and now, I’m back at SFU, in McTaggart-Cowan Hall, and back to the normal daily grind of university life. I realized on Monday that we’re already in the third week of classes, which is kind of mind blowing… and also as of Monday, I’ve been home for more than a month. That was a shock and a half, especially when so many memories remain incredibly vivid.
Anyway, a few photos, just to save me a couple thousand words!
on our way from Cairns to Port Douglas and the Daintree–Michael, moi, Jeremy, and Ola
lunch at the Sydney Tower… rotating restaurants are the bomb!
the Golden Gate Bridge in San Fransisco, as seen on my flight home to Canada
Lake Shushwap, driving to Vancouver
the girls, out for the sing-along at the Railway; Joan, Ali, and Kate (Joan and Kate are from the east coast, and I may be living with Ali next year!)
And of course, I’ve been catching up on my scrapbooking! Fiji is already finished, click the link below to see the other pages:
